How to Unarchive an Email on Gmail on iPhone or iPad
This wikiHow teaches you how to move an archived Gmail message back to the inbox on your iPhone or iPad.
Part 1Using the iPhone/iPad Mail App
1It’s the blue icon with a white envelope, labeled “Mail.” You’ll typically find it at the bottom of the home screen.
4It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. It may take a few moments for the button to appear.
5Tap the circle next to the message you want to bring back to the Inbox. A blue check mark will appear to the left of the message. You can select multiple messages to restore by tapping each message’s corresponding circle.
6It’s at the bottom of the screen.
7This moves the selected message(s) back into your main mail folder.
Part 2Using the Gmail App
1The app has a white envelope with a large red “M.” If you’ve installed the app from the App Store, you should find it on one of your home screens. If you don’t see your inbox, tap Sign In, then enter your Google account information to continue.
2It’s at the top-left corner of the screen.
3You may have to scroll down a little to find it.
4The contents of the message will appear.
5It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
6This moves the selected message back to your primary Inbox.
