This wikiHow teaches you how to post an event on LinkedIn for Android. Unfortunately, LinkedIn retired the feature that allows you to create events on LinkedIn.[1] However, you can create on a third-party platform, such as Eventbrite, and post a URL to a LinkedIn post.

Use the following steps to download the LinkedIn app from the Google Play Store. The Google Play Store has an icon that resembles a colorful 'Play' triangle. It can be found on your homescreen or apps drawer. Tap the Google Play Store app icon. Type LinkedIn in the search bar at the top of the app. Tap "LinkedIn" in the list of search results. Tap "Install" below the app banner.

The LinkedIn app has an icon with a blue square that says "in" in the middle. Once installed, you can open the LinkedIn app by tapping the icon on your homescreen or in the apps drawer, or by tapping "Open" in the Google Play Store.

If you are not already signed in to LinkedIn, select the email associated with your LinkedIn account to sign in. If none of the accounts listed are associated with your LinkedIn account, tap "None of the above" and type the email address and password associated with your LinkedIn account.

It's the first button at the bottom of the text box. If you are asked if you want to allow LinkedIn to access your camera, or photo and video gallery, tap "Allow".

If you have a picture for your event on your phone, use the following steps to select it. This can be a flyer, pamphlet, photo-ad, logo, ect. Tap the icon that resembles a stack of photos. Tap a photo to select it. Tap the right-arrow icon in the lower-right corner.

Currently, LinkedIn does not have the ability to create events on the LinkedIn platform. However, you can create an event on a third-party app like Eventbrite and paste the URL into a LinkedIn post. To paste a URL in the post, tap and hold anywhere on the text box. Then tap "Paste" when the small pop-up appears.

To make it easier for people to find your event through searches, add hashtag keywords. The "Add Hashtag" button is in the lower-left corner. Tap this icon to add a hashtag to your text. Then type a keyword related to your event. It's good to add 3-5 hashtag keywords.

It's in the upper-right corner. This posts your event to LinkedIn. To increase the viewer reach of your event, repost every few days.

If you already have an Eventbrite account, type the email and password associated with your account and tap "Log In". If you do not have an account, type your email address on the line and tap "Get Started". Then fill out the form. You can also tap "Continue with Facebook" to sign in with your Facebook account.

Type a brief description of your event using 140 characters or less. Tap the arrow in the lower-right corner when you are ready to continue.

To set a date and time, tap the calendar or clock icon below "From:" Then tap the start date on the calendar and tap "Ok". Then tap the start time on the clock and tap "Ok". Tap the arrow in the lower-right corner when you are ready to continue. If the event is more than one day, tap the calendar or clock below "To" and then tap the end date and time on the calendar and clock and tap "Ok".

Use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to select if the location is at a venue or an online event. If the event is at a venue, type the venue name in the search bar. Then tap the venue in the search results. Tap the arrow in the lower-right corner to continue. This creates the event and displays the information page.

If there is a charge for the tickets, select "paid" and then select a currency and an amount for the tickets. If there is no charge for the ticket, select "Free".

The form requires you to provide a name and description for the tickets, you also need to provide a quantity for the tickets and a start and end date for when tickets go on sale. Tap the checkmark icon in the upper-right corner when you are finished. You can create more than one set of tickets.
